My name is Bruno. I work at the crossroads of landscape architecture practice, teaching, and research.
My formation spans the spectrum of urban studies: I hold a Diploma in Architecture and Urbanism, a specialization in Urban Sociology, and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Urbanism at PROURB UFRJ, where my research interests lie in the convergence of cities, landscapes and naturecultures.
At the Rio de Janeiro-based studio Embyá – Landscapes & Ecosystems, I have over ten years of experience in various scales and phases of landscape architecture designs and land development plans, including public and private spaces, environmental studies, ecological restoration, and interventions in historical gardens.
My teaching resonates with the questions that arise from studio work and research. I am a professor in the Department of Architecture and Urbanism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, where I teach courses in landscape design and urbanism.
